What to expect in a session

What to wear

Most clothes work well for Ortho-Bionomy®. Go for something comfy. I recommend not wearing chunky sweaters or belts.

Consultation

We'll spend a few minutes talking about your goals, what Ortho-Bionomy® is, and what to expect.

Explore the range of motion and tightness in the body

Range of motion can tell us a lot about what is going on in the body and also help us see improvement as the range of motion improves.

Settle in and follow your comfort

We'll work with comfortable positioning and gentle movement. I may check in for feedback so the session stays within your comfort and supports your goals.

What people say

Testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not a guarantee of results.

I have chronic neck pain and headaches and seeing Clara helps significantly! Ortho-Bionomy® is such a gentle, non-invasive way to realign everything and I always leave feeling relaxed and grounded. It's amazing how everything is connected! Clara herself has a calming presence and energy about her. I love her confidence in her practice.

Cecilia

Ortho-Bionomy® with Clara has helped my chronic hip and back pain more than anything else I've tried. In the past I've done acupuncture, Ozone therapy, chiropractic adjustments and functional therapy. I have been amazed at how much better I feel after receiving an Ortho-Bionomy® treatment and my hip and back pain are starting to subside because of it.

Heather

Clara introduced me to Ortho-Bionomy® in concept and application. My body has become significantly more at ease with increased mobility. She has a gentle touch and caring bedside manner. I highly recommend her. Your body will love it!

What is Ortho-Bionomy®?

Where did it come from?

Ortho-Bionomy® was developed by Arthur Lincoln Pauls, a British osteopath who in the 1970s stumbled over a study by Osteopath Dr. Lawrence Jones called "Spontaneous Release Upon Positioning". This study found that the body, when put into optimal positions, would self-correct on its own. Dr. Pauls took this study and started implementing it into his daily practice, and it eventually became what is now Ortho-Bionomy®.

How does it work?

Ortho-Bionomy® sessions use various gentle techniques that may support self-awareness, comfort, and ease in the body. These techniques can include gentle movement, precise positioning, and light pressure. The goal is to invite the body to respond without harsh manipulation or force, focusing on comfort rather than "quick fixes."
