Doula Services Disclaimer
Doula support is non-medical. A doula does not provide clinical care, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, perform medical procedures, or make medical decisions.
Your healthcare decisions are your responsibility and should be made with your licensed medical providers (doctor, midwife, nurses, etc.).
Scope: A doula provides continuous physical comfort, emotional support, and informational support.
Ortho-Bionomy® Disclaimer
Ortho-Bionomy® sessions are intended to support comfort, relaxation, and self-awareness through gentle, non-invasive bodywork. Ortho-Bionomy® is not a substitute for medical care and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
If you have an injury, medical condition, are under a physician's care, or are pregnant/postpartum, please consult your healthcare provider and let Clara know before the session.
Scope of Practice
Ortho-Bionomy® is a non-medical approach to bodywork. It is not massage therapy, chiropractic, physical therapy, osteopathic manipulation, acupuncture, or any other form of medical treatment.
If you have symptoms that require medical attention (including sudden or severe pain, numbness/tingling, dizziness, fever, or any urgent concern), please seek care from a licensed medical professional.
Client Responsibilities
To help create a safe and supportive experience, clients agree to:
- Provide accurate information that may impact care (injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy/postpartum concerns, etc.).
- Follow the guidance of their licensed medical providers and seek medical care when appropriate.
- Communicate comfort levels and ask questions during sessions or support visits.
- Stop or pause any technique or activity that feels unsafe or unwanted.
Results vary from person to person. No guarantees are made regarding outcomes from any service provided.
Assumption of Risk
Bodywork and physical support involve movement and (for some services) light touch. You may experience temporary soreness, fatigue, or emotional release. You may stop, pause, or request changes at any time.
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum carry inherent risks and outcomes vary. Doula support does not eliminate medical risk and does not replace care from licensed medical providers.
Appointments, Cancellations & Refunds
Scheduling, pricing, travel, and cancellation/rescheduling policies may vary by service and will be confirmed at the time of booking.
If you are booking doula services, you may receive additional written terms that describe on-call windows, backup support options, and what is included in your package.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible. Any non-refundable fees, deposits, or no-show policies will be clearly communicated in writing before services are provided.

Privacy
If you submit a request through the doula intake form, the information you enter is sent to the form provider (Web3Forms) and delivered to Clara for follow-up. If you book an Ortho-Bionomy® appointment using the online scheduling link, the information you enter is processed by the scheduling provider (Setmore).
Please avoid sharing sensitive medical information through the website form or third-party scheduling tools.
Clara does not sell your personal information. Information shared is used to respond to your request and provide services.
Your information may be retained for as long as needed to respond to your request, provide services, and maintain basic business records.
Third-Party Services
This website may use third-party services to operate (for example: Cloudflare for hosting, Web3Forms for form delivery, and Setmore for scheduling). These providers have their own privacy policies and terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clara Gurney is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the use of this website or any services provided.
